Duquesne University lacrosse coach Mike Scerbo recently announced the captains for the 2016 season. Leading the Dukes will be senior goalkeeper Jenna Bishop (Lothian, Md./Southern) and senior midfielder Meredith Micho (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Rock Canyon).

Micho played in all 18 contests last season, making 15 starts. She led the Red and Blue with 39 draw controls and tallied five goals, including the game-winner against Saint Joseph’s. Micho also added 14 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.

The Dukes, who finished last year with a 9-9 record and 5-3 slate in Atlantic 10 play, open the 2016 campaign on Sunday, Feb. 14 by hosting 2015 NCAA Tournament participant Louisville at noon on Rooney Field. The Cardinals are ranked No. 14 in the country in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine preseason poll.
